You've probably seen these bugs all over Tucson lately. They look like giant long legged mosquitoes.
The good news? They are not mosquitoes at all!
The bad news? They are not mosquito eaters (aka Skeeter Eaters) either.
They are CRANE FLIES.
They don't bite or scratch or suck blood. They only have a two week life span. They aren't harmful to humans, or helpful for that matter. They just... are.
The only downside is that there are a lot of them right now, and they can get annoying. I have personally had a few fly into my house. Crane Flies are attracted to light so keep your windows and doors closed to avoid a crane fly invasion in your home, especially at night.
