Here are a few pics/videos from our Easter weekend. It was definitely different than any other year. Usually we have a big brunch family gathering at my mother-in-law's house. We craft, we dye eggs, we play games, and we always have fun. It was a bummer to miss out on all of that this year, but it was to keep everyone safe (especially since my wife Erika works at the hospital). At least we tried to make the best of it!
We didn't have any white eggs (and we didn't feel like braving the grocery store), so we decided to paint rocks instead. It was actually really fun, and totally made me feel like a kid again.
On Easter morning we snuck over Easter treasures to our families to leave by their front door. Even though we couldn't physically be together, we thought we could at least show them we love them and were thinking about them.
We weren't as successful in our sneakiness at my sister in law's house though- they totally caught us.
We also spent some time outside- did a little hike out to Saguaro National Park East
There were these old limestone kilns where they used to fire up the stones to make mortar for buildings. They stopped production in the early 1900's.
We were hoping to see a waterfall at "Lime Falls," but it ended up being pretty dry. Oh well, it was still beautiful!
Then we proceeded to have all the cheese at home.... I have no regrets
How was your Easter Weekend? Did you break social distancing rules to see family?
