Weekend life has slowed down for all of us, but here are three things that happened that made me smile.
1. Sunday night Facetime Sessions with my family: Every Sunday my parents, my brother Bryan and his girlfriend Janette, and Erika and I have a little Facetime session for an hour or so to just check in on each other. It's been really nice to connect with family more. I'm pretty sure we will continue to do this even after this whole quarantine thing is over.
2. ICU Nurse Love for Erika! She worked all weekend at the hospital, and the local restaurant BOCA Tacos and Tequila brought all the night shifters on her unit food! Usually day shift gets all the love and night shift gets the leftovers, so it was really nice for them to get some acknowledgement too.
3. Baby plants! I planted some wildflower seeds a couple weeks ago, and I thought it was an epic fail... until I saw little babies start to pop up! Something about these tiny plants just warms my heart. I'm excited to see what they grow into!
